Auditions

Auditions for Alaska Chamber Singers are held each May for participation in the following season. Occasionally auditions are held during the concert season if there are specific needs in the group.

Auditions consist of:
• vocalizing
• "America the Beautiful, " a cappella, any key
• sight reading
• pitch memory (singing back a series of 4-5 pitches

Rehearsals are on Tuesdays, 6:15 - 9:15 p.m. beginning in mid-August. The season typically ends in April. Singer dues are $100 per year. Additionally, members must purchase prescribed concert dress and help with some non-singing duties.
